I’m about to head off for my families traditionally-nontraditional Thanksgiving full of fried chicken and afternoon hikes, and since today is my favorite holiday it seems only right that I share something I’m thankful for with all of you. It might seem simple, but I learned a long time ago to be thankful for each day I get to open my eyes in the morning and lay my head back down on the pillow again at night. No matter what happens during the time in between, I always try to remind myself that I’m fortunate enough to have more things than I need, people who love me, and a future full of endless possibilities ahead of me.
So, although Thanksgiving is only an American holiday (Sorry Canada), I’d like to ask each and every one of you to find a reason to be thankful today, and to hold onto that reason for as many days as you can. There’s a lot of bad in the world, but there’s also a lot of good, and the more good we choose to look at in our own lives, the more we feel like we have to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone,
