Alright everyone, here’s part 2 of my top 20 movies about travel post. I should note that I created this list based on movies I’ve seen, and narrowed a much longer list down to 20. If there’s a movie you love that’s not featured in either post, then I encourage you to let me know in the comments section so I can check it out. With that being said, the following 10 movies are unique in their own way and fill me with awe and wonder every time I watch them.
11. Life of Pi (2012)
A beautiful adaptation of the book by the same name, this is a touching story of survival.
12. Midnight in Paris (2011)
Paris looks beautiful, but it doesn’t really come alive until midnight.
13. North by Northwest (1959)
When Cary Grant gets confused with someone else, a thrilling adventure across America ensues.
14. Roman Holiday (1953)
Audrey Hepburn’s first movie will make you fall in love with her and want to visit Rome.
15. Seeking A Friend for The End of the World (2012)
If I knew when the world would end, this is probably how I’d spend my last few days too.
16. Silver Streak (1976)
Gene Wilder gets thrown off the train a lot. Throw in a little romance and humor, and this movie easily tops your last train ride.
17. The Spirit of St. Louis (1957)
Charles Lindbergh is a local hero where I grew up, and this movie captures his amazing journey and the first solo flight from New York to Paris.
18. The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999)
Identity theft never looked so good.
19. To Rome With Love (2012)
Things go awry in Rome for locals and tourists alike.
20. The Way Way Back (2013)
Sometimes family vacations can suck. The one in this movie is no exception.
